The perfect dream of gender theorists
Background: The J'naii people consist of androgynous humans. In the early days of the J'naii, there were still men and women. However, due to violent crimes and criminal offences, the sexes were also anatomically abolished and any explicit sex perception was nipped in the bud.
This is the perfect dream of ideologically blinded gender theorists who always want to propagate that sex can be educated and thus freely chosen and therefore accept Dr. John Money's failed experiment on the Reimer twins and the subsequent suicide of both brothers as "collateral damage".
Here is a very nice talk in the shuttle and a speech from "Star Trek - The Next Century", episode "The Outcast". Soren (Melinda Cullen), an androgynous being from the J'naii people, is accused of her forbidden female sexuality and her relationship with Commander Riker (Jonathan Frakes) and defends herself in court. However, the words spoken can also be interpreted as a call for more tolerance towards neurointersexual people and unequal relationships. I couldn't have said it better myself. Excerpt can also be found on YouTube here and here.
